This is a display that I set up for our yearly “Teen Battle of the Bands”! This event is always awesome and half of the fun is getting the bands to sign up. This year, we decided to make displays at all 21 of our branches!
For this display, I went right to the point… Music! The display features my 1960 monarch TM vintage microphone. It is the real deal, but its working condition is less than stellar… hence it being on display. Additionally, I added a pair of used Vic Firth drum sticks to really set off the “rock and roll” feel.
I added some books for inspiration including books on the Beatles, Jazz, Rock legends, and Dave Matthews Band (don’t hate, limited selection!). The display also features a poster and flyers promoting the event, and different musical instrument visuals. Hopefully this display will entice a few more bands to sign up for the battle!
